Frank Mulone
Frank Mulone — the Darling Starling himself — has been cutting and coloring hair for over 15 years. After beginning his career in Boston’s South End salon scene, he opened The Darling Starling in early 2021, creating East Boston’s premier boutique salon.
Outside the salon, Frank is a multidisciplinary artist, working in sculpture, music, painting, and film. He believes great hair begins with great communication and specializes in precision cuts, custom color, and curly hair.
Derek McClellan
Derek is a close friend of the salon and has worked with Frank since the early 2000s. You can find him popping up at Darling Starling once in a while... For booking, contact Derek directly through his Instagram account.
